The granny square blanket was finished in time for a birthday present:
I had some trouble getting a good photo of this. Considering I had never crocheted before, I guess it's not bad. The recipient was quite happy with it. Totally random placement of colour. It really did turn out a bit daggy but maybe that is the whole point of granny squares.
